Feb. 3rd, 2007 09:27 pmThe people on my OU course (S283 - Planetary Science and the Search for Life) are currently discussing the fact that Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who. It's a little unusual for a course to degenerate into such procrastination so early on (it only began today). Usually it's the sort of thing students discuss when they're supposed to be revising. ;-)
I've just spent a few minutes researching self study proof-reading and copy-editing courses. I've found one from a place in Devon http://www.chapterhousepublishing.co.uk/cor_skills.php
I know it's a long shot but does anyone know anything about them? The web site makes it sound good, but £180 is a lot of money to lose if the course isn't as good as they claim.
PS Someone from work claimed yesterday that the quote on this icon is the 'funniest one ever'. It's good, but I'm not sure about the 'funniest ever'. Maybe the fact that we'd been in the pub for three hours had something to do with it.
