Feb. 17th, 2007 10:14 pmSo my 'Writathon' has ended with a total of 15,017 words, which I know is nowhere near the stated target of 50k but which I'm still very pleased with for two reasons:
1. It's the most I've ever written in one day.
2. I'm actually happy with the results. I get the feeling that if I had tried to write any faster I would have ended up with more words, but it would have been necessary to cut 95% of them out later. (I'm not saying that this won't be necessary for many of the words that I have, but at least it does make a vaguely coherent whole, and that definitely wouldn't have happened if I'd tried to write any faster).
Also, my wrists, hands and fingers are still in working order. They feel a little warm. They've definitely been given a good workout, but they're still working as they ought to. And that has to be a Good Thing. :-)
Now the words are starting to merge together on the screen so I think it's probably time for some sleep. Night all!
