Strange happenings
Apr. 2nd, 2007 06:34 pmI've just remembered; a couple of bizarre things happened over the weekend:
On Friday evening I closed the door to Jane's room, because she had left her window open and there was a draft. We live in a Victorian terraced house that has old doors. Once the door is closed and has latched, the only way to open it again is by grabbing the round door handle, twisting it by about 90 degrees and pushing. As the doors are old, it takes a reasonable amount of force to do this. I was in the house, by myself, all weekend. So how come when I went upstairs at around 6pm yesterday, her door was open again? I absolutely, definitely, did not touch it.
Secondly, I was woken up at 5:20 this morning by what sounded like someone undoing some velcro (or maybe attempting to strike a match). I'm prepared to admit that I might have dreamt the noise, but I certainly didn't seem to be that deeply asleep at the time - in fact it took no effort whatsoever to wake myself up and turn the light on to see what was going on. When I've dreamt noises in the past it's always been a struggle to force my eyes open afterwards.
