So, the exam proved to me just how valuable revision is. All the questions on those subjects I'd managed to revise were easy, the rest I just guessed at. Hope I've managed to pass it, but we'll see. I'm sure that at the very least I'll have attained the 15% I need for a resit, so I'm putting it behind me and moving on.

I've started the reading for my next course, M366: Natural and Artificial Intelligence, and so far it's every bit as interesting as I was hoping it was going to be. Need to get the first TMA done by the end of the month if I can. Not sure how realistic that's going to be though.

My Dad has been released from hospital under strict dietary instructions and with a carrier bag full of pills and potions. He's feeling a lot better and is gradually getting back to normal, which is great. Thanks very much to everyone who sent good wishes in response to my last post. They are greatly appreciated. :-)

Nanowrimo preparations are progressing. My new Co-Municipal Liason has already proved that she's worth her weight in gold (despite being a damned yankee! ) As a result, we have venues booked for 90% of our planned meets throughout November. We've already had one planning meet and managed to get a reasonable turn-out. I don't think that we freaked anyone out either, which is always a plus. I still haven't decided on the exact plot of my novel, but I've thought up a damned good name (Rising Angels, Falling Apes) and that's half the battle isn't it? :-)

Really need to find some time to sit down and do some actual work on exactly how the story is going to start and progress. Might be an idea to have some kind of ending too...

Also, need to finish contacting the other regional MLs with the rules for the Regional Word War. Looks like we're going to have a reasonable turn out, which will be good. If you're reading this and haven't affiliated with a region yet, I urge you to do so. Not only does it mean that you'll be able to take part in the Word War, but the support of your Nano peers is invaluable for helping you reach the 50k finish line.

Okay, that's all folks!
